Have you even wondered what high school life was like in the United States? Then this is the site for you! Hey everyone, my name is Amanda and I live in California, USA. I am starting my Junior year (eleventh grade) at Laguna Hills High School. I can’t wait to share all the crazy, stressful, and fun aspects of American high school with you!
This week was registration for the upcoming school year. We walked around the school and visited different booths to register for classes, receive our schedule, take our school pictures, get our lockers, and pick up text books. Look how many text books they expect to fit in a little locker! And the worst part is, I got a bottom locker! Considering I’m 5 feet 10 inches, or 178 cm, this could be a big problem. It is just a reminder that the school year is right around the corner! My school starts on September 7th, when did your school start? Are you excited for the new school year? Let me know in the comments!
xoxo

Registration! We are carrying our tennis bags because we had to rush to practice after. The life of an athlete! |

My wonderful school! |
Hi Amanda!
ReplyDeleteI was an exchange student a couple of years ago, and reading your blog reminds me of my year long stay in America. H&M is a very popular store here in Norway, and it's one of my favorites.. though it's a Swedish store, and Norwegians often makes jokes about the Swedish, just like Americans do about Canadians.
Anyways, it was neat reading your blog. I just wanted to leave you a comment :)
- Sara :)
Hey Amanda!
ReplyDeleteYour blog seems pretty interesting!
Have you ever been to Norway?
My English-teacher actually was the one who guided all of the students in my clas here:P
I hope to learn a lot about the american school, before i (HOPEFULLY) get to change into IB in New York:) So i'll keep peeking in from time to other;)

Hi Sara! Thank you so much for your comment. I am glad that my blog reminds you of America! When I went to Norway this summer I saw H&M stores everywhere and heard lots of Swedish jokes. It was really fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for your comment! Hopefully you can come back to America soon!
Hey Kristine! Thank you so much for your comment! Yes I have been to Norway twice, the most recent being this summer for two weeks. I'm glad your English teacher and class enjoys my posts! You will learn a lot about American school here and if you have any specific questions let me know. I am in the IB program at my school too. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it once we get the IB diploma! I hope you can come to school in America! I know you will love it:)
