A Perfect Presentation

Hey everyone! As my senior year is coming to a close, there are many amazing events I can finally be involved in since I am graduating. One of these end of senior year ceremonies is Senior Presentations for my National Charity League class. I have volunteered for local charities through National Charity League for six years and I get to celebrate the end of my work with a debutant style ball with the rest of the girls of my class. All our friends and family came to support us in a presentation about our work with NCL and then a fun party after to celebrate. We all wore long white dresses to symbolize freshness, new beginnings, and an innocence of spirit. Each girl celebrates during Senior Presents a closing of one chapter and a starting of a new chapter in life that will be filled with new people, places, and experiences. Check out some pictures from my NCL class' senior presents below!

Hollywood Hangin'

Hey everyone! This weekend was fun, and adventurous, as I traveled up to Hollywood! Hollywood is one of the most renowned areas in California, maybe even in the whole US. It is the center for all motion pictures, as most of the movies and television shows are filmed and made here. In addition, record labels, studios, and radio stations all have headquarters here. Because of this, most celebrities live in the nice areas of Hollywood like Beverly Hills. Its fun to see where all the celebrities live, and if you don't know there are tours to show you! Its a fun day adventure, because I live a few hours away!

While in Hollywood, I went to see the musical Wicked with my National Charity League Class. It was awesome! The musical took place in the Pantages Theater, an old, famous theater in Hollywood. We also saw some sights around the city like the Hollywood sign! Don't forget Hollywood and Vine, the street paved with starts memorializing famous celebrities. It was truly a happenin' place to end the week!

Where do most of the celebrities reside where you live? What's your favorite musical? Let me know in the comments below!

Operation Help a Hero

Hey Everyone! Today was a very inspirational day today! I traveled to a military base with my National Charity League class and volunteered in the event Operation Valentine. This takes place every year, and girls in National Charity League from all over California come together to help the military. We build care packages to send to them on Valentine's Day filled with essential supplies and Valentine's Day cards we hand make ourselves.
We also serve lunch to the military personal who are currently at the base. All together it is a very inspirational day knowing we are helping our military who are serving over seas.

Strutin' for Charity!

Hey everyone! This weekend was very exciting as I was in a fashion show! I walked the runway with 22 other 11th grade girls from neighboring high schools. We are all involved with a program called National Charity League that hosts this fashion show every year to raise money for 18 different charities. We raise about 30 thousand dollars to donate to the charities. Its an incredible experience, and its even better knowing we are doing it for a great cause. There were even 9 high school junior boys in it as well who brought some spunk to the show!

In addition to this show, we do lots of community service for these 18 charities throughout the year. This includes delivering meals to senior citizens, helping teach children with disabilities, and serving meals to homeless families. Although it's a lot of hard work, each experience is worth it knowing the good I am doing for the community.

Would you ever want to be in a fashion show? What community service do you do for your community? Let me know in the comments!
